The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ 31 August

For Today...


Outside my window... the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.

I am thinking... how quickly another month has passed by. Tomorrow with another new month starting also sees the start of spring. Love spring and all the signs of new life along with the warm, sunny days.

I am thankful for... being able to borrow DVD's from our library. Kyle has recently become interested in the disney movie Cars and instead of having to pay out $22.00 to buy the movie on DVD we have been able to borrow the DVD from the library for free. That way Kyle can get to watch the DVD for three weeks and if it is a firm favourite then we can buy our own copy if need be.

From the kitchen... dinner tonight was devilled sausages on a bed of rice. This is one of Zac's favourite meals and he asks for it often.

I am wearing... a t-shirt and jeans.

I am reading... A Perfect Day by Richard Paul Evans.

I am hoping... that all goes well for Kyle and his speech therapy assessment tomorrow.

I am creating... a folder of photos to use to make a photo book that I can create using Snapfish.

I am praying... for guidance. Several things I am unsure about what is going to be the best option for us.

Around the house... on the lookout for a smaller computer desk for Daryl. He currently uses the table our tv used to sit on. We would like to be abel to have our tv back in use as we miss being able to watch the news and tv documentaries.

One of my favourite things... hearing the comical stories that Zac tells. He is most entertaining to listen to.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Tuesday morning we are taking Kyle to an open day at Montessori school to see if that is where we should enrol Kyle to start prep next year and then Tuesday afternoon we have an appointment at the hospital for a speech therapy assessment. Apart from that not too sure what the rest of the week might bring apart from Sunday which is Fathers Day.

Kyle dragged this laundry hamper out of Zac's bedroom and decided that it would make the ideal place for him to sit and read his book.
